History
In the year 1924, the blue racers made its debut at the Grand Prix organized by Automobile Club de France. The Type 35 manufactured at this time was considered as the most sophisticated and high technology car which won 2000 races in ten years.
The Grand Prix races were a major event in those days where in the 1920s, the Type 35 participated in the Le Mans, Spa, Targa Florio and Monza. The Bugatti also sold its racing cars along with its touring and sports cars to private buyers which took part in the races. The racing cars were mainly sold to private buyers at a high cost taking advantage of the Bugatti’s victory in the international races.
A total of 350 units of the Type 35-series have been manufactured in those days where a number of cars have been destroyed during the World War II and the remaining cars were sold on high price.

The fastest car in the world when built in 1995 and it held that title for about 10 years.
An amazing feat in the automotive world. With a 627 horsepower mid mounted engine and a top speed of over 240 mph the V12 McLaren F1 is an extremely fast and very light almost race car like exotic. The car is made mostly of Carbon Fiber to reduce weight. No expenses were spared making the F1, costly carbon fiber, and exotic materials were used everywhere. Gold was used on the engine compartment lid because it is such a good heat deflecting material. This car looks amazing in pictures. The driver sits in the middle of the car, for the best driving experience possible. There are 2 jump seats to the right and left behind the driver, possibly for the 2 dates you may have tonight due to the attention you will receive when you drive a McLaren F1

“Of course I’m disappointed
with the outcome of today’s race, but at the same time I feel I
should be grateful I was able
to finish it at all. The conditions in terms of visibility and
aquaplaning were disastrous.
In the beginning, after the safety car pulled off, my tyre pressures were too low so I struggled a lot. On
lap 13 Timo Glock hit me, which caused damage to the car and certainly didn’t help. However, close to the
end of the race I had the chance to score one or two points, but then there was a lot of
debris on the track, including a wheel, from Adrian Sutil’s accident. I tried to find a way around
it, but it was unpredictable which way it would go and it hit me. Afterwards the car felt very
strange and I lost four places.”
Robert Kubica:

(14th fastest overall) “Driving was very dangerous today. We had
aquaplaning nearly everywhere and the lack of visibility was a disaster. There were quite a lot
of situations when I couldn’t see anything. All this also caused my heavy accident with Jarno
Trulli. When Jarno braked into the corner I hit some standing water. Although I hit the brakes
very hard the car still accelerated. I went quite high into the air after hitting his rear tyre,
but fortunately nobody was hurt. After coming to the pits we had to change the front wing a second
time as I felt some vibration and massively lost grip. This ruined my race.”
Mario Theissen
(BMW Motorsport Director): “There is not much to say about this Grand Prix. From bad starting
positions both our drivers were involved in collisions under these rainy conditions. The result
is zero points. All we can do
is put this race behind us and concentrate on Bahrain.”
Willy Rampf (Head
of Engineering): “That was
a very disappointing race. Our only chance to get into the points was in a wet
race, but we didn’t score at
all. We have to improve as quickly as possibl
Volkswagen has formally announced the production version of the long-awaited Bugatti Veyron at Monte Carlo in June 2003. Staying true to the concept that was displayed at the 2002 Geneva Auto Show, with small changes such as air outlets behind the front wheels and slightly redesigned headlights. Expected to be very pricey indeed, the Veyron marks the truimphant return of Bugatti under the leadership of the Volkswagen Group.
Little has been spared in the way of interior luxuries, such as a full leather cockpit for two people, and other basic amenities missing in the McLaren. But it detracts from the original mission of the Bugatti - to be the fastest car in the world, no matter what.
The production Veyron retains the record-breaking 1001 DIN hp (987 SAE hp) output from its 8.0L quad-turbo W16, with 922 lb-ft of torque, but it narrowly missed its weight target of 3410 lbs, weighing in at 3520 lbs. With a power-to-weight ratio much better than a McLaren F1, performance claims of 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds, 0-186 mph in 14 seconds and top speed of more than 250 mph seem believable, making it the new fastest production car in the world for the 21st century. Sure, there are are numerous tuner Skylines and Corvettes out there that can go just as fast, but they are haphazard individual jobs.
Other notable new entries would be the Porsche Carrera GT and Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren, but they are not expected to even top the McLaren F1 in performance. The resurgent Bugatti brand raises the exotic car game to a whole new level.
The Koenigsegg CC 8S was first conceptualized back in 1994. The brainchild behind the project, Christian von Koenigsegg, set up co-operation between numerous Swedish entities to work on the car. The first production test mule finally saw the light of day in 2000, and the first car was ready for delivery in 2002.
Both the body and the chassis are made of carbon fiber. This makes the car light and completely resistant to corrosion, like many other supercars. The chassis was designed by engineers with Formula 1 experience. The semi-monocoque self-supporting center unit provides exceptional rigidity, while making up a shell protecting the driver. The hard top is removable for somewhat open air driving, and it fits in the front luggage compartment. The interior is clad in leather, aluminum and carbon fiber, while funky-opening doors provide easy access.
The supercharged and intercooled quad-cam 4.7L V8 engine delivers 655 hp and 553 lb-ft, thus making it just as powerful and more torquey than the Enzo's V12. The boosted engine revs hard to produce those figures though. The small and lightweight engine makes extensive use of carbon fiber, titanium and aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. Unlike the high-tech Enzo, the Koenigsegg avoids electronic driver's aids, making the CC a pure driver's car and shedding additional weight too. The only gimmick is a KACS system that allows the driver to adjust road holding, suspension, aerodynamics and braking components to suit individual preferences.
In late 2002, Koenigsegg conducted their own high-speed tests, which
Named after the legendary father of Ferrari, the Enzo is Ferrari's best effort at the "fastest car" title yet. It's best effort last time round was in 1987 with the 195 mph F40, while the newer F50 was actually slower. Initially thought to be the F60, the Enzo incorporates all sorts of technological advancements that were not possible in the last century. With only 399 copies slated for production, it is expected to go down in history books even if it doesn't beat the McLaren for top speed honorsAs usual, the Enzo has been styled by Pininfarina, but it takes a whole new direction, attempting to resemble a Formula 1 racecar. Although the similarities are there, it gives the car a decidedly confused look - as if a computer error on the "drawing board" caused a road car to merge with an open-wheeled racer. Still, the look is unique and functional. Employing ideas learned in F1 racing, the Enzo's huge air intakes allow it to generate immense downforce. A small retractable rear spoiler comes up at speeds in excess of 100 mph. To keep it lightweight, the chassis is made of carbon fiber, while the bodywork uses a combination of aluminum and carbon fiber, but build quality is not exactly world-class. The cab-forward interior also sports carbon fiber. A semi-automatic six-speed gearbox is standard, along with a launch control system to maximize acceleration. The Enzo's suspension has variable damping so it can be used as a luxury cruiser too.
